The people watching at home deserve a real mix.
Malva Live is a mixing console just for your livestream. It runs on a Mac beside your sound desk, so the stream gets its own balance, separate from the room.
For Mac. No card needed to try it.
It never touches the room.
Your sound desk keeps running the building, just as it does today. Malva Live takes a copy of your channels over USB and mixes them for the stream only.
- If the stream has a problem, the sanctuary never hears it. The people in the room only hear your main desk.
- Nothing stops in the middle of a service. Your plan is never checked while you're live, and even a restart during a service comes back.
- The mixing happens at your church. If your internet drops, your mix carries on.
Up and running before Sunday
No Terminal, no IT department. If you can install an app on a Mac, you can set this up.
Tell us about your church
Send us an email. We'll set your church up and send you a six-digit code.
Install the app
Download Malva Live, drag it to Applications, agree to the terms and type your code. Your 7 free days start then.
Plug in and mix
Connect your desk's USB to the Mac, choose your channels, and you have a mix. A built-in demo band lets you practise before anyone's in the room.
A full console, built for streaming
Real controls with real units, laid out so a volunteer can find their way and an engineer isn't held back.
Every channel, fully equipped
Gain, high-pass filter, gate, a 12-band EQ you shape by dragging, de-esser, compressor, and reverb, delay and chorus effects.
The right loudness for online
Loudness and true-peak meters with streaming targets, plus a bus compressor and limiter, so the stream is never too quiet on a phone and never distorts.
Hear what viewers hear
Listen to the stream mix on headphones through their own output, so you're judging the mix and not the room around you.
Practise before Sunday
A built-in demo band plays a real part on every channel, so you can learn the desk and build your layout before anyone's in the room.
Sends, groups and buses
Eight sends per channel, DCA groups, stereo pairs and buses, so you can build the same kind of mix you would on a hardware desk.
Presets you can use again
Save a channel as a preset and use it again, or copy just the parts of one channel you want onto another.
Simple monthly pricing
Every plan starts with 7 days free and mixes all of your input channels. Prices are in Canadian dollars.

What you'll need
A Mac
macOS 11 Big Sur or newer, Intel or Apple silicon. A spare laptop in the booth is fine. Windows is not supported yet.
Your channels
A sound desk that sends its channels over USB, such as the Allen & Heath SQ, or an audio interface.
Internet
To keep your plan active and get updates. The app keeps working for 14 days without a connection.
Your streaming software
Malva Live makes the mix. OBS, ProPresenter or whatever you already use sends it out to your viewers.
Questions
Does Malva Live replace our sound desk?
No. Your desk keeps running the room, exactly as it does now. Malva Live makes a separate mix just for the stream, because what sounds right in a full sanctuary rarely sounds right through a phone speaker.
What happens if our internet drops during a service?
The mix carries on, because it's made on your Mac, not on our servers. Nobody in the room notices anything, and the app keeps working for up to 14 days without being able to reach us.
What happens when the free trial ends?
On day 7 Malva Live asks you to choose a plan. Pay by card and it unlocks by itself, with no restart. It won't lock during a service.
Do we need a licence to stream worship music?
Usually yes, and it's separate from Malva Live. Streaming copyrighted songs normally needs a streaming licence, such as CCLI's Streaming Licence. That's your church's to hold, and our terms ask you to confirm it.
What happens to our audio?
We never record it or store it. See our privacy policy.
Is it only for churches?
We built it for churches first, but it works anywhere several microphones need a good mix for a stream, such as lectures, panel discussions and events.
